A psychological evaluation assesses attention, focus, hyperactivity, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, intellectual functioning, academic functioning, social skills, restrictive or repetitive behaviors, and developmental functioning. The testing provides information about current functioning, strengths, and weaknesses. If appropriate, a diagnosis is made based on the assessment results. Diagnoses can include ADHD, Learning Disability, Autism, Developmental Delay, Separation Anxiety Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, and Intellectual Disability to name a few. A final written psychological report with all results, interpretation of results, diagnoses, and specific recommendations will be provided after the evaluation.

During the assessment process, I will meet with the family/client 3 times. The first appointment consists of a diagnostic interview, with just the parents or adult, to go over concerns and get a full psycho-social history. This appointment usually lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. The second appointment consists of testing the child/adult, which may include the parent if needed. This appointment can last 2 - 6 hours depending on the age of the child and amount of testing needed. And lastly, the third appointment consists of meeting with the parents/adult to discuss the results, recommendations, and provide a PDF and a hard copy of the report.

Dr. Chandler DOES NOT provide therapy or medication management services.

The testing is done in my office in Fort Worth, TX on Lisbon St.
